SHINEDOWN Releases Animated Video For 'Monsters'
July 2, 2019SHINEDOWN has unveiled an animated video for "Monsters". The track currently sits at No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart for the second week in a row and has amassed nearly 15 million streams.
Animated by Toon53 Productions, "Monsters" explores the ever-present demons and self-sabotaging inner voices that we all battle.
"Monsters" recently became SHINEDOWN's 14th No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart, the second most in chart history, and continues the band's record of the most Rock Airplay Top 10s ever. Every one of SHINEDOWN's 25 consecutive singles has reached Top 5 on the Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, an unparalleled achievement.
SHINEDOWN singer Brent Smith recently said that the band intends to film and share music videos for the remaining songs from its recent album, "Attention Attention", that have not been visualized yet.
Smith told The Pulse Of Radio that the group is setting aside a block of time to shoot footage for the rest of the clips. "We actually have 10 days in August where we're filming the band scenes for the remaining nine songs that we have left to do video footage on. Because the album is gonna be realized just like it was from the audio side, it's also gonna be fulfilled from a visual side. So beginning of next year, it's all gonna be filmed — the entire story."
SHINEDOWN has already released videos for four tracks from "Attention Attention": "Get Up", "Devil", "Human Radio" and "Monster". Smith told Billboard: "They all tell different stories that kind of link up with each other. There's a lot of characters you haven't met yet." He added that the band hopes to have the entire collection of videos finished by early 2020 so that they can be premiered as one complete film.
"Attention Attention" debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart back in May 2018. The band is on the road for the summer leg of its 2019 world tour, which will hit Gilford, New Hampshire on July 3 with support from BADFLOWER, DINOSAUR PILE-UP and BROKEN HANDS.
